Taking a powdered nutraceutical range into production

A multi-flavour powder range needed compliant filings and a licensed plant. We prepared the paperwork for every variant and set up production with our manufacturing partner.

The brief

The brand had a range of powdered health supplements in several flavours. It needed a licensed plant to make them, and the regulatory paperwork to go with each one.

What we did

  1. Mapped every product to the right category under the FSS (Health Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purpose, and Prebiotic and Probiotic Food) Regulations, 2022.
  2. Prepared a statement of ingredients for every flavour variant, with nutrient amounts checked against the recommended daily allowance.
  3. Connected the brand with our manufacturing partner, The Veganist Foods, and set up production for the range.

Where it ended up

Every variant documented and ready to file, and the whole range in production at a licensed plant.

The brand wanted a gel athletes would finish mid-race. We built the formula from scratch, ran tasting rounds, and handed over a spec their plant could run.
